Abstract
In this paper the three main arguments that Descartes considers necessary in the Metaphysical Meditations to obtain words that respond to one of the questions that has more tormented to the thinkers throughout the history: is there certainty? The path that Descartes decides to take offers a new vision of skepticism to his time: to use it in a methodical way. After publishing his work, the Frenchman has received many different critiques, defenses, and interpretations. To complement these pages besides the writing of the own Rene D. uses the interpretations that Bernard Williams and Barry Stroud give to its work.
