The Discursive interfaces as a category of analysis

the case of Andrés Manuel López Obrador

Keywords: Discourse interface, framing, State-society interfaces, technical rationality, ontology of collective identity

Abstract

This article analyzes the reconfiguration of the public in Mexico through the discourse of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) through the category of discursive interface. It is argued that the former president's narrative seeks to dissolve the classic distinction between the state and society, a fact that can be read as an attempt to conform socio-state interfaces. ""Through a framework that prioritizes the "moral economy" and the "revolution of consciences," public policy moves from technical rationality to an ontology of collective identity. It is concluded that this symbolic fusion aims to subordinate institutional management to a logic of moral adherence and political communion with the people.
