Imaginaries of political corruption in cinematographic representations

Abstract

This research seeks the analysis of corruption in contemporary and commercial Mexican cinema, viewed from the content analysis. As is recognized in the world, Mexico is one of the countries with the highest number of corrupt practices, at least in Spanish speaking it occupies the first position according to the international barometer that measures cases of corruption in 183 countries of the world.

The treatment proposed for this project will be under the theoretical proposal of Krippendorff, under a system of categories and coding rules where the Mexican film La dictaturaura perfecta (2014) will be analyzed.

By putting the observed in the film on the table and categorizing it, according to the level of corruption that Rubén Aroca proposes, in this way to compare between the theoretical and represented in the film. At the same time, the political and social context of the country is related to what is represented and how it is represented in the cinematography made in Mexico.
