Abstract

The prevention of school violence in educational institutions requires teachers prepared to face this problem. The purpose of the study was to analyze the actions incorporated in the training of the students of the Faculty of Education of Matanzas, Cuba, and the perception they have on how to prevent situations of school violence to apply them in their professional performance. With a quantitative and qualitative approach with a sequential explanatory design to identify the activities they carry out, oriented to the training process of students on the prevention of school violence for their professional performance, to know the opinion of teachers, regarding the training process of Students on the prevention of school violence for their professional performance, know the students' perception of their training process that allows them in their professional performance to prevent situations of school violence and know how teachers, managers and students participate in the programs and projects for the prevention of school violence for their professional performance. It consisted of three phases; collection of quantitative data of students through a survey; the second phase, collection of qualitative data through the application of semi-structured interviews to teachers and students and in the third and final phase, the interpretation of the results of the quantitative-qualitative phases to deepen the analysis of the actions that lead to held during the training process, and the perception they have about how to prevent situations of school violence to apply them in their professional performance.
