Digital Preservation and Open Data Policy
The preservation of the scientific record is a long-term institutional responsibility. All journals will be integrated into distributed digital preservation systems such as LOCKSS or CLOCKSS, ensuring that content survives technical failures, cyberattacks, or platform changes. In addition, UNACH requires authors to deposit the research datasets that support their publications in the institutional open data repository, except in cases where there are ethical, privacy, or traditional knowledge protection restrictions regarding indigenous communities. This open data policy promotes reproducibility, verification of results, and the reuse of knowledge, in accordance with SECIHTI guidelines for a more collaborative and transparent science.
